Nordic Wind Invest (2006-2008):
Sven was assigned General Manager in Spain and Portugal for this Danish power investor with the task of analyzing and evaluating the markets for wind power and solar energy, as well as establishing relations to international co-operation partners and identifying specific investment opportunities.

MAN B&W Diesel, Spain (1997-2006):

For 9 years Sven was Managing Director in Spain for this foremost group of international high-tech marine and power companies.

He provided consulting service to Spain’s largest power group Endesa´s selection of technology for their power plant extensions on the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, whereto MAN B&W in the period became a leading supplier of power technology. Together with a major Spanish venture capital bank Sven provided the conceptual design for cogeneration plants for key-customers in the Caribbean’s, delivered the prime-movers and negotiated the O&M agreements for such installations. Sven was responsible for the negotiation of comprehensive O&M agreements for major power and cogeneration plants.

Sven worked closely with major Spanish engineering companies in Spain and with their organizations and affiliated companies in Latin America, and assured MAN B&W solutions for their diesel power plant design and specification of technology. He worked closely with the power facility authorities in Cuba, Mexico and Venezuela for their global and regional power generation conceptual design and hardware selection. With the strengthened approach to these Latin markets, MAN B&W became in this period important supplier of prime-movers for diesel powerplants in Cuba and in Baja California (Mexico).

An important task was the promotion of cleantech products and technologies, including dual fuel and gas
combustion solutions, fuel selection and emission control and reduction.

In the marine market, under Sven´s leadership, MAN B&W consolidated it´s position as dominant supplier of propulsion systems and gensets to Spanish yards for national and foreign ship-owners. We reported sales of large propulsion packages to local Chilean Ship-Owners, established a strategic cooperation with Cuban, Mexican and Argentinean shipowners, and negotiated for years the, still open, and publicly debated extension of the Venezuelan crude-oil carrier´s fleet.

Astilleros Españoles/ IZAR (1993-1997):
During a three year period, Sven was deputy managing director, as representative for MAN B&W, in this Spanish publicly owned leading shipyard group. He played a central and executive role in the privatization process of the company, including in a successful turnaround. He carried out a major survey of the international wind energy markets for the company’s diversification, and introduced this, at that time new and emerging industry to a long series of Spain’s leading engineering companies and started up production and sourcing of key components for this sector. He provided consulting services in relation to the establishment of the major Danish wind turbine producer Micon A/S (now part of Vestas A/S) in Spain.

ING Nationale Nederlanden (2003-2004):
For one and a half year Aimée worked as sales executive for this Dutch financial institution in Barcelona. She was responsible for the development and implementation of strategies in selected markets for the sales of financial product including life securities, pension plans and mortgage loans.

Antares, Cuban Ship-owners Association (1999-2002):
For 3 years Aimée was responsible for the development and implementation of the Cuban fleet renewal program, and participated in the purchase and sale of vessels for the associated shipping companies, and arranged the corresponding financing. She was general manager for a 4x1.400 TEU container vessel newbuilding project at Turkish yard, and established the Turkish soft-loan financing.

Mar America (1997-1999):

For 2 years Aimée was Fleet manager at this Havana based Shipping Company as responsible for the
administration and operation of 5 General Cargo Vessels, including the P&L, execution of fleet contracts and application of the ISM-Code.

Cuban Ministry of Transport (1993-1996):

For 3 years Aimée worked with diplomatic status as advisor to the Cuban Minister of Transport. She was responsible Cuban director for the Executive Secretariat for the National IMO Commission, and for United Nations Development and Trade program UNCTAD. Also she was responsible for the coordination of high-government delegations within the transport sector and the coordination of Chambers of Commerce. Another responsibility was the strengthening of international relations of the Ministry within the maritime sector.

Mambisa (1986-1993):

For 7 years Aimée worked as fleet operation manager for this major Havana-based ship-owner with 82 merchant vessels. She was responsible strategies for exploitation and renewal of the fleet, chartering capacity calculation, for bookings and handling of maritime transport services.
